Mastering the Meta5 Desktop
Learn the skills to master the Meta5 desktop. Topics covered
include customizing desktop settings, manipulating icons,
accessing manuals, and exchanging PC files. |
Module 2
Examining Data
Students will receive a short overview of some of the basic
tables used during the Meta5 Training. |
Module 3
Creating Queries
Learn the basic Query building skills needed to retrieve data.
Skills include joining tables, setting constraints, saving
and modifying Queries. |
Module 4
Query Tool - Editing Queries and Calculations
Students will progress in this class from learning how to
create common calculations to more advanced Query building
skills such as dynamic views and general qualifiers. |
Module 5
Intro to Capsules/Integration
The power behind Meta5 is the Capsule. Learn how Meta5 tools
can be connected together to automate the flow of data.
The class will cover the basic skills needed to create Excel
spreadsheets, Word documents, and Electronic Mail from the
Meta5 environment. |
Module 6
Meta5 Spreadsheet Tool
Learn how the Meta5 Spreadsheet tool can be used to manipulate
data. Advanced calculations such as conditional logic and
date arithmetic will be taught. |
Module 7
Beginning Transformers
Learn the power behind the Meta5 Transformer tools. Students
will be taught data manipulation using the Sort, Select, Clean,
and Append Transformers. |
Module 8
Meta5 Text Tool
Learn how the Text tool can be used in Capsule applications.
Students will practice the skills needed to create and edit
text in Meta5. |
Module 9
Joining Data
Learn how to join data at the application level, regardless
of its source. Different data sources will be discussed including
databases, Excel spreadsheets, and ASCII files. |
Module 10
@-Variables and Iteration
Students will build capsules designed to run multiple times
to answer different business questions. Learn how to enhance
Meta5 Capsules to automatically run for an unlimited series
of parameters. |
Module 11
Integration with Excel
Learn how to integrate MS Excel in your capsules using the
iExcel Integrator tool. Advanced functionality such as formatted
templates, multiple-sheet reports, and @-variables for automation
will be covered. |
Module 12
Integration with Word
Learn how to integrate MS Word as your capsule output with
the iWord Integrator tool. Advanced functionality such as
formatted templates, and @-variables for automation will be
covered. |
Module 13
Meta5 Email Outbox
